Crammer

WholeWorldCoding's Study Tool

name originated from cramming for a test

MySQL install

Enter MySQL:

mysql -u root -p

Create a Database:

CREATE DATABASE crammer;

Create a User:

CREATE USER 'cram'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'password';
then update .env file

Update Permissions:

GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON crammer.* TO 'cram'@'localhost';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

Then exit:

exit

Set up tables

mysql -u cram -p crammer < db.sql

Finally verify it all works:

mysql -u main -p crammer -e "SHOW TABLES;"

python3 -c "import mysql.connector; conn = mysql.connector.connect(host='127.0.0.1', user='cram', password='mypassword', database='crammer'); print('Connected:', conn.is_connected())"

replace mypassword with your password you set earlier
