P7MC
P7MJ MC Launcher
Introduction
P7MC is a lightweight TUI Minecraft launcher for Windows, built around minecraft-launcher-lib. It is designed to manage multiple Minecraft usernames and versions without needing a graphical interface.
To launch, double-click launch.bat.
On first launch, launch.bat will check for required dependencies and attempt to install anything missing. After initial setup, it will mark the installation as complete and enter P7MC directly in the future.
Interface
P7MC uses a shell-like interface inspired by MSYS2.
P7MC A-1-i | Version 1.14.4 | tehaiker814
$
To launch Minecraft, download versions, or configure settings, you use commands.
Compatibility
P7MC was designed for and only supports windows. Although I would like to make a Linux port (and minecraft-launcher-lib should support this), the main usage of P7MC is more likely to be on Windows.
Feel free to fork it if you have time.
Usage
Startup
Double-click launch.bat. The launcher will check for dependencies such as python3 and minecraft-launcher-lib, and install them if needed. Then it will start P7MC.
Installing a Version
Use the command download to download a version:
download 1.14.4
Snapshots are also supported as well:
download 25w39b
You can fetch the latest version of Minecraft too:
download latest
If a download is ever interrupted, you can retry it with the same command.
Viewing Installed Versions
Use the list utility:
list
This will show a list of versions.
Launching a Version
Use the launch utility followed by the version name to launch it:
launch 1.8.9
If you have launched a version before (indicated by the version number above the prompt), you can launch it again with just launch.
Managing Usernames
The username utility creates and manages usernames.
You must have at least 1 username before launching a version. These usernames are offline, meaning you do not need to log in, you can play without an internet connection and you can choose any username, but you will generally be unable to play on official servers requiring an authenticated account. In that case, search for "Cracked" or "Offline" servers, or just go buy Minecraft.
Deleting Versions
Use the delete utility followed by the version name:
delete 1.8.9
Confirm on the confirmation screen.
Opening the Minecraft Folder
If you wish to manually edit the installations, you can open the path with the open utility:
open
This will open the P7MC directory in File Explorer.
Help
The help utility displays the available commands to use.
Exit
Use the exit command to quit.

Help and Common Errors
P7MC requires Python 3 and minecraft-launcher-lib to run. Although it will attempt to install them if they aren't available, if it fails, install the dependencies manually.
If you cannot download, it might be due to a missing/slow/restricted internet connection. In that case, downloading from another computer and transferring the files via USB or other means will do.
Pre-installed versions
This is for people who have access to this repo but do not have access to the Minecraft servers required to download versions.
There is a branch for each common version of Minecraft. Go to branches -> (your version name) to install that version.
